About Me

I was laid off from a really good job on October 31, 2011. (Happy Halloween!) I had over 15 years tenure. I saw the signs well in advance and prepared by job hunting and researching my options if I ended up unemployed. I didn’t find another job in time, so at that point I started calling myself the Unintentional Stay at Home Mom (SAHM). I never intended to be a SAHM nor do I intend to stay one. I’m actively looking for a new job, but we all know what this economy is like. It’s rough out there! So while I continue to search for the great opportunity that awaits me, I’m trying to save money, take care of the kids, and keep the house (mostly) clean while my husband works. Along with that I’m scanning job listings, networking and trying to learn new skills for my resume. Once I do find that great new job, I will be changing the title of my blog.

After trying to figure out what I wanted to blog about, I decided to just talk about a variety of topics in the hopes that you will either laugh, learn something or simply relate to my topic.  Enjoy!
